MUDJACKING VS FOAMJACKING

Mudjacking

PROS– cheaper by volume

No material cost overages

Better control – as soon as technician stops inputting material lift stops

Better flow of material because it doesn’t set quickly

CONS - Holes are larger 1¼ vs 5/8

Cannot be driven on for 48 hours

Can be messy. Mud splatter happens but is always pressure washed after. We don’t mudjack basements for this reason as they can’t be pressure washed.

Mudjacking should be used for driveways, sidewalks, patios and garages due to the cost savings.

VS

Foamjacking

PROS- Smaller hole 5/8 VS 1¼

Can be driven on immediately after

No splatter and can be used inside in finished spaces

Usually swept clean

CONS- Not as much control because lift is done with expansion. It is easy to lift but very difficult to make go down

Sets up quickly which makes it harder to match pieces

Concrete can’t be recycled that has been foamjacked

Cost of entry is less making it easier for people to get into the business causing lots of turnover of employees/and owners

Foamjacking should be used for basements and areas that need to be driven on immediately.
